MainStage Irving-Las Colinas announces auditions for their upcoming production of

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Audition Dates: Saturday, June 17 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Rehearsals will begin on July 10.
    • Rehearsal schedule is TBD, but generally Mon-Fri in the evenings. Tech week starts Saturday August 5, 2023
  • Performance Dates: August 11-13, August 18-20, August 24-26, 2023. This production will be performed in the Black Box Theatre at MainStage 222.
  • NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED FOR PERFORMANCES OR TECH WEEK.

IMPORTANT AUDITION INFORMATION:

Auditions are held by appointment only at 222 E Irving Blvd, Irving TX 75060. Auditions will be by appointment in 10 minute slots. Please bring a current resume and headshot.

CHARACTERS:

  • SHERRY - 20s
  • GRACE - 20s or 30s, Drunk and depressed
  • JOSEPH - 50s, School principal
  • ZACK - 17, Troubled teen

ABOUT THE SHOW: Sherry Wickman is a recent college grad with a master’s degree in art therapy whose job-search hasn’t quite gone as planned. Unemployed and overwhelmed, she retreats to her childhood bed and remains there…until an unexpected employment opportunity gives her a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Now, if only her mother would come downstairs, her sister would stop watching Top Gun from the couch, her first patient would do even one assignment, her new boss would leave his rifle at home, and someone would catch the actual tiger that escaped from the local zoo, everything would be just perfect!

COMPENSATION: Actors receive a gas stipend and comp tickets
